9/27/24: Breaking: Fluoride landmark verdict, lockdown impact, back from extinction
The EPA suppressed this data for years
Happy Friday my friend,
It was a BIG week in holistic health (especially for the US, and implications that could ripple internationally), so we’re covering the long-awaited fluoride verdict, a historic senate hearing on nutrition, and much more.
Through mid-October, catch a rare glimpse of this beautiful comet hurtling past Earth at 180k mph. If you miss it, it won’t be visible again for another 80k years— so let’s hope for clear skies! ☄️

🚰 FLUORIDE FANFARE: A landmark legal verdict has been achieved in the fight against corrupt science and fluoride in drinking water. A federal court in California ruled this week that the Environmental Protection Agency's current fluoride regulations may pose significant health risks to children, particularly in relation to brain development. Ruling that fluoride could pose an "unreasonable risk” to human health, it’s also the “first time that a group has been able to use the law to take a citizen petition to trial.”
🎶 Personal note: I’ve spoken about this topic publicly for over a decade, while often being ridiculed as “anti-science” (a phrase the hijacked media uses to train the public to ignore and discredit those who call out corrupt propaganda) and I even wrote a song all about fluoride, which you can listen to here.
👁 EYESIGHT INSIGHT: Did the indoor lockdowns of 2020 and increased screen time lead to impaired vision in kids? "Emerging evidence suggests a potential association between the pandemic and accelerated vision deterioration among young adults," a new study says, suggesting 1 in 3 children are short-sighted, according to this BBC article published this week.
🇺🇸 STATE OF HEALTH: A panel of experts and medical doctors testified for 4 historic hours to outline the erosion of human health, the rise of chronic illness, and the irresponsible contamination of our food supply by thousands of nefarious artificial pesticides, dyes, preservatives and more. Never have these topics reached this level of government attention. The group includes my longtime allies Vani Hari (‘Food Babe’), Courtney Swan, and Max Lugavere, to name a few. The staggering statistics of preventable childhood disease epidemics, and decades of published scientific literature linking these conditions to food additives can no longer be ignored. (It is a troubling sign of our culture when I feel it needs to be said that children’s health is not an issue for one political affiliation or another. I invite you to rise above the divisive narratives.)

🛍 PLASTIC BAG BAN: California will ditch all grocery store plastic bags in 2026. In 2014, California became the first state to ban thin plastic grocery bags “in favor of providing “reusable” and “recyclable” plastic bags at checkout,” but ironically, “most of these thicker plastic bags were not reused or recycled, exacerbating the state’s plastic waste problem.” According to CALPIRG, “plastic bags are typically only used for 12 minutes, then thrown away.”
♻️ EVERLASTING BATTERY: New discoveries published in the journal Science provides some hope for solutions to boost the capacity of lithium batteries to power EVs without mining for cobalt, and the study author says “we are helping to advance lithium-ion batteries by figuring out the molecular level processes involved in their degradation.” Learn more about how lithium batteries work here, and why this research is so exciting. (*Virtually every energy source has trade-offs, so industries iterating to find the least detrimental version is important.)
🐦 BACK FROM EXTINCTION: After being declared extinct in the wild, earlier this week, six beautiful kingfisher birds in Guam “were released from their temporary aviaries into the lush forests of Palmyra Atoll” a sanctuary with no predators. This historic release marks the species’ first wild flight in almost 40 years.
I think nature’s imagination is so much greater than man’s, she’s never going to let us relax.
☕️ Purity Coffee
National Coffee Day is just around the corner – Sunday, September 29th – and I'm excited to share my love for Purity Coffee with you. This regenerative brand is my go-to for a delicious and eco-friendly brew because it’s beyond ‘sustainable’.
Purity Coffee is committed to regenerative organic farming, a holistic approach that improves soil health, biodiversity, and protects and encourages overall ecosystem function.
This means that their coffee beans are not only good for you but also good for the planet.
In fact, they third party test for common contaminants like mold and mycotoxins that plague the average coffee bag you’d find at the store (something you do not want in your body).
Their commitment is clearly demonstrated by being approved by the Rainforest Alliance®, Smithsonian Bird Friendly®, and USDA Certified Organic, ensuring ethical sourcing and the utmost environmental responsibility.
I even gave away Purity Coffee at my own wedding earlier this month, and it’s always a huge hit with our guests. It's the perfect way to celebrate National Coffee Day while ‘voting with your dollar’ for the change we need to see in the world.
Use code COFFEEDAYECL and new customers will receive 30% off plus no-cost US shipping.
Happy National Coffee Day!
