🌊 COASTLINE SANCTUARY: A new national marine sanctuary proposed in California, the Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary, will protect 116 miles of coastline and cover over 4k square miles of ocean. It will be the first Indigenous-focused sanctuary, and “is anticipated to bring comprehensive community- and ecosystem-based management to nationally significant natural, historical, archeological and cultural resources,” the press release stated.

🏞 A CITY’S JUNGLE: Bangkok is turning to urban forests—including a new installation larger than NYC’s Central Park in the center of Bangkok— to help capture water runoff caused by worsening floods. Designed by a top architect, see the projected plans for what the expansive 102-acre Benjakitti Forest Park is slated to look like when it opens in December.

♻️ GREENEST SUMMER: Great Britain generated more than 80% of this summer’s electricity from renewables. This is the highest percentage of renewable energy ever recorded in the UK, and it comes after a year of record investment in renewable energy projects. “While these figures are to be welcomed, we have a mission to make Britain a clean energy superpower, with solar and wind power at the heart of our plans,” said the UK Secretary of Energy.

🚰 WATER FILTRATION: Research at MIT has revealed a new technology that could remove certain types of forever chemicals from water. The material, “based on natural silk and cellulose, can remove a wide variety of these persistent chemicals as well as heavy metals,” the article states. 🎧 MUSIC MEDICINE: Is music really “medicinal?” Research summarizing more than 400 studies says yes, stating “listening to music was found to be more effective than prescription drugs in reducing a patient’s pre-surgery anxiety.” Did you know music can “boost the immune system, reduce stress, improve health outcomes, and, with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, facilitate communication and caregiver relationships?” Read more about music therapy here.

☢️ TOXIC TAMPONS: U.S. lawmakers have presented a letter to the FDA, urging the agency to “review and improve the current safety standards for tampons” for women, after a study discovered heavy metals (like lead and arsenic) in over 12 popular brands of tampons. Currently, “the FDA doesn’t mandate that products be tested for chemical contaminants.” 😳

☺️ Rewire in only 10 minutes

You’ve probably heard that stress is responsible for over 70% of doctor’s visits. It drains your energy levels, and is likely the biggest contributor to mood problems like depression and anxiety.

But what most people do when they’re stressed and they feel their mind racing is to work on THEIR MIND.

But what if the solution isn’t to work on your mind?

It turns out the fastest and most powerful way to get your brain and body out of stress and anxiety isn’t to work on your MIND, but to use your BREATH.

I’m excited to share a live virtual event with you from a friend of mine, energy expert Ari Whitten, that will show you:

  • Breathing practices to rewire your nervous system out of stress mode and dramatically decrease anxiety levels

  • Why deep breathing is actually bad advice (and what the right approach is to increase your energy and decrease anxiety)

  • Specific breathing practices to open your airways and calm your nervous system before bed to help you sleep deeper than you have since you were a kid

  • Why dysfunctional breathing is a common cause of brain fog and anxiety (and why fixing your breathing is the hidden key to fixing your anxiety)

  • A specific 10-minute morning routine that resets your anxiety and dramatically increases energy levels

Grab your spot in this live virtual event HERE. No cost.
