Happy Wednesday {{first name | my friend}},
Today’s Deep Dive is all about my favorite exercise. One that continues to shock me, when I think about how few people do it, and how accessible it can be. Even right at home.

🐿️ CREATURE FEATURE 🐿️

Leaf Sheep (Costasiella kuroshimae)
The leaf sheep is a tiny sea slug that looks more like a plant, a succulent of sorts, complete with little “sheep ear” feelers. After it munches certain algae, it keeps the algae’s chloroplasts and stores them in its leaf-like frills, so it can soak up sunlight and get a bit of extra energy. This is an extremely unusual trait. Here’s a great quick read on its “solar-powered” lifestyle: how the leaf sheep pulls off photosynthesis.
It’s called kleptoplasty, but the chloroplasts do not turn the leaf sheep into a plant, and it still has to eat in other ways. But it gives the slug a helpful backup when food is scarce. Pretty remarkable adaptation. See more (with a mind-boggling photo): meet the sea slug that can photosynthesize.
WORD OF THE WEEK
Gloaming: Twilight – that soft, in-between light just after sunset.
Why I Keep This One On Repeat
A lot of supplements can come and go.
You try them for a week or two… and then you don’t feel an immediate life-changing shift, so they quietly disappear from your routine.
For me, this one stuck. And a good vitamin C should stick in your routine.
Pique Daily Immune has been one that has claimed a pretty permanent spot. Because it’s easy… and I notice the difference when I stay consistent with it.
It supports multiple systems at once:
Highly absorbable vitamin C that actually gets used at the cellular level
Elderberry for steady immune support
Built to support collagen and overall skin quality over time
A good supplement is never a quick fix.
It’s a daily input that shifts your overall nutritional bank over time. Basically like how a bad habit slowly erodes health… just in the opposite direction.
And the game is to find the simple things you’ll actually stick with.
If you want something that supports your immune system and skin without overthinking it, there aren’t many companies with this level of quality like Pique.

🌏 DEEP DIVE 🌏
The Simple, Quick Exercise You Should Be Doing
Most people think of cardio as something long, sweaty… and maybe miserable? Running. Jogging. Maybe a spin class. But one of the most effective forms of movement I’ve found is also one of the simplest, and strangely one of the least talked about.
Rebounding.
Bouncing on a mini trampoline.
It almost looks too simple, that it can be overlooked. Which is part of what makes it so great. A few minutes can wake up the body, get circulation going, and leave you feeling more energized without the joint slamming that comes with running. And for people who want something sustainable, quick, and easy to do at home, it checks a lot of boxes.
Why rebounding is so interesting
Rebounding is basically using a mini trampoline for movement, but it doesn’t have to mean full-on jumping as high as possible. It can be as simple as a light “health bounce” where your feet barely leave the mat (or in the beginning, maybe don’t leave it at all). That’s one reason it works for such a wide range of people. You can start small, build gradually, and still get benefits.
