Happy Monday {{first name | my friend}},

It’s the final day of August, and the seasons are shifting. As we look forward to the start of a new month, here are 50 enchanting facts about September, many having to do with nature.

MONDAY MOTIVATION

August 31st, 2026

My first health influencer role model

Over a decade ago, a husband and wife team (Kevin and Annmarie) ran a daily Youtube show called the Renegade Health Show, and I was one of their biggest fans. Their wisdom, commitment, and educational style was a huge inspiration for me to do what I do today.

They focused on natural healing modalities, and when Annmarie learned what was going on in the skin care industry, she decided to ‘be the change you want to see in the world’.

She started Annmarie Skin Care and – because I saw their ethics in practice – I knew she would only use the best ingredients, organic and wild crafted when possible. It’s virtually all I use on my skin for over 10 years now.

Just a few times per year, they do a crazy low $ trial bundle for you, and right now it’s three serums – the Anti-Aging, Citrus Stem Cell, and Probiotic with Tremella. They're formulated with ingredients that actually belong on your skin: active concentrations you can feel working, no synthetic fragrance or fillers.

I can only share THIS BUNDLE a few times a year. Under 30 bucks – more than 60% reduced – no shipping. Stock up if you've been considering it or get it for someone you love.

Grab the trial pack here because it will be done soon.

🌿 NATURE CONNECTION: Forest sounds like birdsong, rustling leaves, and running water genuinely lower heart rate and blood pressure, even faster than silence. A 2024 meta-analysis found just 20 minutes of nature sounds reduces cortisol by 21%, triggering your parasympathetic (rest and digest) system. Your brain interprets these sounds as safety signals through human evolution.

💪 MOVEMENT: Mindful walking—paying deliberate attention to your steps and breath while moving—produces stronger mood and anxiety benefits than walking or meditating as separate acts. A meta-analysis of 75 studies found it rivals yoga and cognitive therapy for reducing depression, and even 10 minutes improves focus and ease more effectively than seated meditation.

🧭 WILDERNESS SURVIVAL: If your GPS dies and your compass is lost, the Big Dipper's two pointer stars (Dubhe and Merak) point directly to Polaris, the North Star. Draw an imaginary line through those stars about five times their distance upward, and you've found true north. With daylight, a vertical stick's shadow moves west to east, giving you an east-west reference line as well.

“The future depends on what you do today.”

— Mahatma Gandhi

🧠 OPTIMIZED MIND: Green tea's primary polyphenol, EGCG, crosses the blood-brain barrier and activates Nrf2 pathways that combat inflammation and oxidative stress at a cellular level. Just 2–3 cups of green tea daily can measurably improve focus, memory, and mood while supporting cardiovascular health and long-term cognitive resilience. For the best tea on Earth, go to Wild Orchard (code ECL).

🤔 DID YOU KNOW?: Chinchillas have the densest fur of any land mammal—up to 60 hairs growing from a single follicle. They're critically endangered from being hunted to near extinction for that soft coat, but they've developed an escape strategy defense: if an attacker grabs them, they release clumps of fur to get away. Fewer than 10k survive in the wild.

🏡 HEALTHY HOME: A single laundry load of synthetic clothes releases 700k to 12M microplastic fibers into wastewater. Yikes. Most water treatment facilities can only capture only about 60%, so the rest flows into our rivers and oceans, and even ending up in the food chain. Use these simple steps to reduce fiber shedding, and choose natural fibers as often as possible (slowly switch your wardrobe in that direction) to dramatically reduce your laundry's microplastic output.
