Happy Monday {{first name | my friend}},
My friend Nick has a new movie that focuses not just on the toxins from our environment, but what we can DO about it to eliminate them from our systems. Check out the new trailer and how to watch.

MONDAY MOTIVATION
May 11th, 2026
🌎 EARTH SYSTEMS
There are proposals to launch massive reflective mirrors into orbit to redirect sunlight back to Earth. On paper, it sounds like a creative solution… but scientists are raising concerns about unintended consequences, from disrupting sleep cycles to altering ecosystems that rely on natural light patterns. It’s one of those moments where innovation moves fast, and the ripple effects aren’t fully understood yet. CLICK HERE to explore what this could mean for life on Earth.
🩺 HEALTH HACK
It’s not just what you eat… it’s when you eat. Giving your body longer breaks between meals may help shift how it uses energy, moving from constantly processing food to tapping into stored fuel and cellular repair processes. It’s a simple shift in timing that can have wide-reaching effects on metabolism and overall health. CLICK HERE to see what the research is showing about intermittent fasting.
🔬 SCIENCE SNAPSHOT
Your heart doesn’t beat like a metronome. The time between each beat actually varies slightly, and that variability is a sign of resilience, not inconsistency. Higher heart rate variability is often linked to better stress adaptability and overall health. CLICK HERE to understand why your heart’s rhythm isn’t supposed to be perfectly steady.

🌍 BE THE CHANGE
There’s something powerful about seeing your impact in real time. This app turns picking up litter into something visible, trackable, and shared with people around the world. Every small action gets documented, creating a global map of cleanup efforts that adds up quickly. It’s a simple idea, but one that makes it easier to follow through. CLICK HERE to check out Pirika and see how people are cleaning up their communities one piece at a time.
🏷️ LABEL DECODER
“Made with real fruit” can sound reassuring, but it doesn’t tell you how much fruit is genuinely in the product… or what else is added alongside it. A small amount can justify the claim while the rest is sugar, flavoring, or concentrates. It’s a reminder to look past the headline. CLICK HERE to better understand this sneaky marketing label.
🤔 DID YOU KNOW?
The human nose can detect over a trillion different scents. For years, scientists believed the number was much lower, but newer research revealed just how powerful our sense of smell really is. It’s one of the most underappreciated ways we experience the world. CLICK HERE to explore how scientists discovered this.

Nothing is impossible. The word itself says ‘I’m possible’

🧠 Microplastic Spoon In Your Brain?
You’ve probably heard about microplastics by now.
In the ocean. In our food. Even in the air.
But a recent cover from Brain Medicine showed something that stopped me for a second – a human brain filled with tiny plastic particles. The estimate? Roughly a spoonful accumulating in brain tissue.
That’s just one category.
We’re also exposed to heavy metals like lead and mercury, along with compounds like PFAS and PCBs – many of which don’t break down easily and can quietly build up faster than the body clears them.
So the real question becomes: can we actually do anything about it?
This is what led my filmmaker friend Nick Pineault to investigate a field called environmental medicine. What started as curiosity turned into something more personal when his own test results came back with elevated toxin levels far beyond normal ranges.
He documented the process in Body Burden: The Toxins We Carry – not as a fear piece, but as an exploration of what clinicians have been doing for decades to help people reduce that internal load.
Inside, you’ll see:
Real lab results and what they revealed
The protocols used in clinical settings
Stories of people recovering from chronic, unexplained symptoms
Practical approaches to lowering toxic load over time
You can watch the documentary here and decide for yourself what feels relevant.

💬 Poll
Have you participated in a litter clean up within the past year?
⬅️ Last poll’s results
Would/have you ever swim with sharks?
🟨🟨⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️ 🦈 Yes, I’m brave (19.2%)
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 👎 Never (80.8%)
