🍼 BABY FOOD CONTAMINANTS: Did you know the U.S. FDA has not “finalized its guidance for acceptable levels of inorganic arsenic in baby food purées?” 48 popular baby food products were recently tested, and while 96% were below the risk level for heavy metals, microplastics were found in 15 out of 16 baby foods tested. See the test results here.
🫚 WARM UP: According to some experts, changes in temperature and humidity alone can affect the body's immune system, especially as the seasons shift. A little warmth for the cooler months
As the days get shorter and the temperatures drop, my BON CHARGE Infrared Sauna Blanket becomes an especially welcome part of my routine. There’s something comforting about settling into that warmth and giving yourself time to slow down.
Sauna is also one of the wellness habits I’m most interested in for healthy aging. Long-term research has linked regular sauna bathing with better cardiovascular outcomes and a lower risk of premature death. The findings make a compelling case for utilizing heat and sweat for longevity.
What I appreciate about this at-home option is how easily it fits into everyday life. You can adjust the heat to your comfort and fold it away afterward (even travel with it really easily). Add some calming music, and it’s a lovely ritual for a chilly evening.
