🌎 Planet Health

🌱 NATIVE SEED PROPAGATION: An Indigenous-owned nursery in British Columbia is growing native plants from local seeds to restore damaged land, strengthen ecosystems, and revive Indigenous stewardship. Together with a few other nurseries, they supply 2.5M seedlings a year for restoration. See wild seed collection photos and learn more here.

🐘 ELEPHANT SANCTUARY: Europe’s first sanctuary for formerly captive elephants is set to open early this year. Nearly 1k wild acres are dedicated in Portugal, without plans to open to the public regularly in order for the animals to “move freely, feed and socialise, just as they would in their wild habitat”. Learn more.

🥇 CLIMATE NOBEL: Did you know less than 0.02% of Earth’s terrestrial surface has been mapped for mycorrhizal fungi? By expanding on the urgent need for global “high-resolution fungal data” to help “suck out” carbon from the atmosphere, this Dutch scientist was awarded the 2026 Tyler Prize, which is like the “Nobel” for climate and environment.

🧑‍⚕️ Human Health

☀️ VITAMIN D: Found most bountifully in sunshine, which many of us lack in the winter, Vitamin D plays a critical role in immune health. New research reveals “people with a severe Vitamin D deficiency were more likely to be admitted to the hospital with respiratory conditions such as bronchitis and pneumonia.” For optimum levels, learn about flu prevention with Vitamin D here.

📲 CELLPHONES AND CANCER: What do you think about cellphone radiation? Though large epidemiological studies have shown “no link between cellphone use and cancer,” the U.S. announced new investigations into “electromagnetic radiation and health research to identify gaps in knowledge, including on new technologies, to ensure safety and efficacy," said HHS spokesperson Andrew Nixon. 🧠 AI & COGNITION: Are our critical thinking skills shrinking due to artificial intelligence tools? Harvard faculty and experts weigh in here with their own anecdotal observations and thoughts on how “excessive reliance on AI-driven solutions” may contribute” to “cognitive atrophy.”

Exclusive for ECL: Sacred Cups Instant

This is one of those RARE moments where I get to give the Earth Conscious Life community access to something before it’s available to the public.

Purity Coffee just released a new instant coffee in their Sacred Cups collection, and it’s the first instant I’ve seen that actually meets Purity-level health standards. Even better, it’s easily the best-tasting instant coffee I’ve ever had. It dissolves cleanly in hot or cold water, and it tastes like real coffee, not “instant.”

What makes it different: the beans are grown with regenerative, organic practices that care for the land, thoughtfully sourced from women-owned farms and indigenous communities, then cold-brewed for selective extraction of beneficial compounds and freeze-dried to preserve more of what you want in the cup.

Like everything Purity does, it’s also third-party tested for mold and mycotoxins, pesticide residues, and heavy metals.

If you want early access, click HERE to try it.

This is a small-batch run with limited inventory that will sell out, and sincerely is NOT available to the public, so CLICK HERE while it’s still in stock.

Magic of Switzerland

Switzerland. Photo by Joel & Jasmin Førestbird.

The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
